Obesity is fast growing epidemic that is seen much in urban areas. It is a sad truth that, most of the women between the age group of 20 to 74 are obese and the number is rapidly growing all over the world. As women get older, there are certain changes in their bodies and it gets harder for them to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Thanks to the busy life schedule and long working hours, admist which exercise is not on the minds of working women. Most of the times, the home cooked meals is replaced by pre- packed foods. Therefore, leading a healthy lifestyle is must.

Keep your eating habits simple: The more food we combine in our meals the more calories we put on. Our body works best on breaking down a small handful of ingredients rather than processed food.

Find your exercise: So many women skip exercise because they do not feel like going for regular gym routine nor do they like running on a treadmill staring at the wall for 45 minutes. The main intention is find an activity which can even be a ping pong or dancing than no activity at all.

Love yourself: This is one of the wonderful weight loss tips. One should understand that our external body is a different reflection of our internal. So love yourself!

Focus: There are social pressures on women to be slim to a certain degree which may be unhealthy or unrealistic depending on the body type. Dieting can lead to eating disorder, therefore focus on fitness not fastness. You can eat a little less and work out more to burn your calories.

Eat the right kind of food: Eat less often five times a day but eat healthy. Never miss a breakfast and do not eat after 8 p.m. Try to eat a high fibre diet but low in animal fats, simple sugar and salt for example white or oily fish, chicken, brown rice, potatoes, whole meal bread, vegetables and low fat dairy products.

Eat small regular meals: Eat five or six small meals in a day as abundance of food will stop your metabolism from slowing down. Try to keep your sugar levels at a normal level and this will stop you from over eating. Try to eat majority of the food earlier in the day as majority of the calories gets burned during the day.

Have sufficient sleep: Sleep for at least six hours a day; this will make you energetic the next day. This will also keep your immune system strong.

Drink lots of water: Keeping hydrated is essential to have a strong immune system and a healthy skin.

Motivate yourself: If you lose motivation, re-check your goals and ambition. Try to make them firm.
